Chapel of Socorro
Parish: Prevediños
Location: Quintás
This simple chapel dedicated to the Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro is the central focus of the most important celebrations in the parish of Prevediños. These festivities are held every year over several days coinciding with the fourth Sunday of August.
The Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro symbolizes divine protection and comfort in times of suffering. She is usually depicted with the Child Jesus on her lap, with one sandal falling off, and accompanied by the Archangels Michael and Gabriel carrying instruments of the Passion (cross, nails, etc.).
Near this chapel we can see from a distance the Pazo de Mince, visit the Mince waterfall, the church of Santiago de Prevediños or the Brandelos recreational area, among other resources.
