This church, of Baroque style, was built in the 18th century, combining ashlar and granite masonry, although plastered. One of its most striking elements is the bell tower, clearly influenced by the Compostelan Baroque.

The temple is dedicated to Saint Christopher, patron of the parish, who is considered the protector of travelers and highly venerated in the Christian tradition. His image is usually depicted carrying the Child Jesus on his shoulders while crossing a river, a symbol of strength and faith.
