The parish church, built in the 18th century, is a clear example of the Baroque style. Its plan is rectangular, with a nave and a chancel that stands out in the overall layout. The building is constructed with ashlar and masonry, and it features a bell gable that crowns its structure.

Saint Peter, originally named Simon, was one of Jesus’ twelve apostles. Jesus renamed him “Peter” (which means rock) and entrusted him to be the foundation on which His Church would be built, making him the first Pope of the Catholic Church. During his life, he led the Christian community and preached in various places, especially in Rome, where he was ultimately crucified. He is traditionally depicted carrying keys, a symbol of the authority granted to him by Christ. His feast day is celebrated on June 29, together with that of Saint Paul.

The patronal festivals in honor of Saint Peter take place on June 29 and 30. Additionally, the feast of Saint Lucía is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of August.

Among the points of interest in the area are the Pozo do Pego and the Remesquide Recreational Area, as well as route PRG-93, the Ribeira do Ulla Route, which invites visitors to explore and enjoy this magnificent natural environment.
