The parish church, dedicated to Saint Mariña, celebrates her feast day on July 18th. According to tradition, she was a Christian martyr who suffered numerous tortures.
Among the most representative attributes of Saint Mariña are a lit oven, used as one of her instruments of martyrdom, and the depiction of three springs, said to have emerged where her head fell after being beheaded. Her story and iconography are so similar to those of Saint Margaret of Antioch that they are often confused.
The church only opens its doors during mass celebrations, in front of it is the parish cemetery, easily visible from the road and featuring a cruceiro (stone cross) inside.
A short distance away, visitors can discover the Pena Furada petroglyph, an important archaeological site, as such carvings are not very common in this area. The area is also traversed by the PR-G 233 hiking trail, offering an excellent opportunity to explore its historical and natural richness.
