Church of Santiago de Prevediños

Parish: Prevediños (Santiago)

Location: Quintás – 15822 Touro

The parish church of Santiago de Prevediños, built in the 17th century, is a fine example of Baroque style. It has a single rectangular nave with a square apse that rises above the rest of the building. The structure is completed by a slender bell tower, typical of the Compostela Baroque style.

The church is built with ashlar and granite masonry, covered with plaster. One of its most striking features is the main façade, which includes a niche with an image of Saint James the Pilgrim.

The interior has been recently renovated, allowing the church to remain in good condition. However, it can only be visited during mass hours.

Besides,  the church serves as a great starting point to explore nearby attractions, such as the Mince Waterfall or the Brandelos recreational area.
