Hortas Waterfall to the Lañas River Trail (PR-G 233)
Start: Mouth of Lañas River (42º 49′ 56.5″ N – 8º 15′ 47.4″ W)
End: Os Agra watermill (42º 50′ 56.2″ N – 8º 13′ 05.4″ W)
The trail follows the banks of the Ulla River, passing through Atlantic forests, Mediterranean cork oak woodlands, and a combination of forest and rural agricultural tracks. Along the way, hikers encounter numerous waterfalls, traditional watermills, and small reservoirs.
The route begins at Hortas Waterfall, on the border of the municipality of Arzúa, and continues to the mouth of the Lañas River. At Hortas Waterfall, the trail joins PR-G 169, which runs through the municipality of Arzúa. At the mouth of the Lañas River, it connects with PR-G 121. Following the course of the Ulla River, the natural border between the provinces of A Coruña and Pontevedra.
Over its more than 12 km, the trail features several points of interest, including Rosende Waterfall, the Touro Dam, Os Chaos, the Agra Mill, and, after a short detour, the Pena Furada Petroglyph.
